You don’t have to simply put up with feeling uncomfortable in your body

Perhaps your shoulders always feel tight. Your back or hips have begun to feel stiff. You have an ache that keeps returning, or you’ve noticed that certain movements no longer feel as comfortable as they once did.

You may not need another generic exercise plan or a massage that treats every body in exactly the same way.

You may simply need time for someone to listen, assess how your body is moving and create a session around what you need that day.

My Bodywork & Movement Sessions bring together hands-on soft tissue therapy, movement assessment, mobility, yoga and breathwork to offer a more complete and personalised approach

These sessions may be helpful if you:

  • experience persistent muscular tension or stiffness

  • have recurring aches or niggles

  • feel restricted through your neck, shoulders, back or hips

  • spend long periods sitting, driving or working at a desk

  • want to improve your mobility or feel more confident moving

  • carry stress physically in your body

  • want personalised support rather than a group class

  • would value time dedicated entirely to your wellbeing

You do not need to be sporty, particularly flexible or experienced in yoga.

What happens during your 90-minute session?

We begin with you

1

We’ll talk through what has brought you to the session, how your body has been feeling and what you would most like help with.

You’ll also have completed a confidential health questionnaire before attending, giving us more time to focus on you during the appointment.

Postural and movement assessment

2

I’ll look at relevant posture, mobility and movement patterns to help us better understand where restrictions or tension may be showing up.

This isn’t about judging your posture or searching for a “perfect” body position. It’s about gathering useful information and seeing how your body moves today.

Personalised bodywork

3

Your treatment may include soft tissue therapy, myofascial release, assisted stretching or other hands-on techniques selected in response to your needs.

Movement, mobility or breathwork

4

We may then explore yoga-informed movement, mobility exercises or breathing practices to help you integrate the work and move with greater comfort and awareness.

Your individual next steps

5

You’ll leave with simple, realistic recommendations to support you at home. These could include a small number of movements, mobility exercises, breathwork or self-care suggestions.

Every appointment is different because every body and every person is different.

Experience you can trust

Before Yogabellies Worcestershire became my full-time world, I spent more than 13 years working as a qualified sports massage and soft tissue therapist.

During that time, I worked in professional football and supported professional and elite athletes, including work within UK Athletics and at the Olympic Games.

That experience gave me a deep understanding of soft tissue therapy, movement, physical demands and recovery.

My work has since evolved.

Through teaching yoga, leading myofascial release workshops and creating my Love Your Body events, I’ve become increasingly interested in the relationship between hands-on bodywork, mobility, breath, stress and how safe and comfortable we feel in our bodies.

These sessions bring both parts of my career together:

The knowledge and assessment skills developed through elite sport, combined with a warm, holistic and yoga-informed approach to wellbeing.

Why I’ve created these sessions

For years I’ve loved teaching yoga because it allows me to help women reconnect with their bodies.

But I also know that sometimes a class isn’t what someone needs.

Sometimes they need individual time.

Time to be listened to.

Time to ask questions.

Time to understand why something keeps coming back.

These sessions are my way of bringing together everything I’ve learnt over the last 19 years (13 years in professional sport and 6 years as a yoga teacher) , so I can support women in a more personal way.

A whole-body approach……

Although my background is in sports massage and soft tissue therapy, you do not need to be an athlete to benefit.

These appointments are designed around your body and your life.

That may mean working with tight shoulders caused by long days at a desk, limited hip mobility, recurring lower-back tension, postural changes, stress-related muscle tension or simply a desire to move and feel better.

The aim isn’t to “fix” you.

It is to help you understand your body, reduce unnecessary tension and identify practical ways of supporting more comfortable movement.
